I have updated the mailinglist and ListServ pages considerably.
The mailinglist subscription page is much smoother and more user friendly. New subscriptions will now properly match with existing customers. If no complete match is found, it is placed into a holding pen. From ListServ > Holding Pen, you can see all subscriptions awaiting approval, including any partial matches that were found in the database.
Click on the name to expand the row to view the matches. You can then select the correct customer record to merge it into and whether
to overwrite the customer's name, phone number, and email address with the information in the holding pen record.
If there are no partial matches, or if none of the partial matches are the correct record, put a check in the New Record box to add this subscription as a new customer record.
Once you are done assigning new and merging records, click Submit at the bottom to commit the record updates.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, email me or call.

Version 2.16 is out. This update fixes a bug that was not taking Deposits Made from being calculated in the Close Day page.
In addition, there are two new features.
Status Change view: Any changes made to the status of a request is logged in the database. This view, accessible via Requests > Status Changes shows the last week's worth of changes. You can extend this to any date range you desire by selecting that date range at the top and clicking Extend.
Auto-Inactivation of old requests: When the day is closed, requests that are more than 4 months old, and have not had any activity within those 4 months will automatically be inactivated.

Version Update 2.15.2
-Added Data Comparison view under Administrator > Comparison. This new view allows the manager (only) to view data for the date range specified. Select a Data Type, set the Date Range, then click Add. The data will be pulled from the database, and displayed in the table below. Data cells can be added and removed at will, and are organized in rows of up to 4 cells of data. Cells can be removed by clicking the red "X" in the top right of each of the cells. |

Version 2.15 is now live!
Trade Credit and Requests have both been completely overhauled to improve performance and eliminate bugs.
Trade Credit works much the same as it did before, however the bug preventing you from looking up a customer with a duplicate entry, or customers with the same name, has been fixed. Now, all entries will be listed in the auto-complete once you start typing in the name.
Requests has been extensively modified. The Request Query page now allows you to select multiple requests for editing or customer contact. Place a check by the request(s) you want to edit and click the edit button, (looks like a pencil) or click the Contact button (looks like a list) to contact the customer about the request.
When the contact button/link is clicked, it will check the preferred contact of the customer. If it is set to email, then an email will be automatically sent to the customer notifying them that the request has been found. Otherwise, the customer's name is added to the Contact List. The contact list displays the customer's name, phone number, address, preferred method of contact, and details about the request. Once contacted, place a check by the customer's request and click update. This will remove them from the contact list.
Lastly, the customer name auto-complete has been significantly changed. It has been improved to smooth the flow of looking up customer information. Each field requesting a customer's name requires at least 3 characters of the name to be entered, and it can be any part of the name, first name, last name, last 3 letters of their first name, etc... The list that appears is alphabetized by last name. You can use the mouse, or up and down arrows to navigate this list. When the desired customer is highlighted in blue, click anywhere outside the list, or press Tab to select the customer. As always, you can delete the name and type in a new one at any time. This new auto-complete should work much more fluidly than the previous incarnations.
If you have any questions, or encounter any errors, please feel free to contact me.
